For Episode #43, Jonathan Russell of The Head and The Heart talks to morning host Matt Pelsor about how making the new album, Every Shade of Blue, felt like the band’s earlier days because of the unique and healthy way the band came together during the pandemic. He goes into detail on the single “Virginia,” and reveals the superstar he was trying to emulate in part of his performance. He also shares who he feels is the best songwriter in the band (it isn’t him), and the song that made him realize that.
