The WTTS Free Download of the week – bachelor

Jay Som’s Melina Duterte and Palehound’s Ellen Kempner have a new band called Bachelor. Bachelor’s debut is called Doomin’ Sun, and it’ll be out May 28th. The duo wrote and recorded Doomin’ Sun in Topanga, CA, in January of last year. It’s mostly the product of their individual songwriting approaches, but it also features collaborations with Big Thief members Buck Meek and James Krivchenia, as well as Chastity Belt’s Annie Truscott. Download “Stay in the Car” now.

Free Download Of The Week: Palehound

Since 2014, as stated by Polyvinyl records, “Palehound have taken their plainspoken, technique-heavy indie rock from the basements of Boston to festivals around the world.  Creative force Ellen Kempner is revered for her distinct, whispery alto, sterling musicianship and honest, wry lyrics. Download “Room” off A Place I’ll Always Go any time between July 24th, and July 30th and learn more about Palehound at their Official Website, “Like” them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter.
