Growing up in California, Margaret Glaspy would play any instrument she could get her hands on. She loved to enter fiddle competitions, play trombone in the school marching band and guitar just for fun. The YoungArts Program recognized her musical prowess and awarded her a scholarship. Glaspy took the money and attended Berklee College of Music but couldn’t afford to stay past the first semester. That didn’t deter her from living out her dreams as she worked odd jobs to make ends meet. “I would sneak into workshops and master classes at the school and started to write songs more seriously,” Glaspy says. Now 26, the singer-songwriter is releasing her debut album, Emotions and Math Friday. Download “You and I” off Emotions and Math and learn more about Margaret Glaspy at her Official Website, “Like” her of Facebook and follow her on Twitter.
