Digital Sales Coordnator

Locally owned-and-operated WTTS (92.3 FM) is searching for a Digital Sales Coordinator to manage and grow all aspects of digital revenue through our “ST Digital” sales arm.

In this selling role, duties will include (but not necessarily be limited to):

  • Serve as the lead point of contact with outside digital advertising product vendors
  • Coordinate and manage all digital sales campaigns amongst a broadcast sales staff of 12, across the Indianapolis and Bloomington markets
  • Work alongside current sales staff on all digital sales initiatives, including on-going training and education
  • Attend four-legged sales calls with Account Executives
  • Consistently develop relationships with digital advertising prospects
  • Personally develop and maintain new digital business
  • Manage Google Ad network or other digital traffic networks
  • Work with General Sales Manager and Program Director to develop and monetize “owned and operated” digital products, including but not limited to websites, mobile apps, streams, podcasts, blog posts, and video content
  • Develop and monitor digital revenue budget and strategy in coordination with General Sales Manager

Requirements of this position include the following:

  • A demonstrated knowledge of digital media
  • A minimum of two years sales experience
  • A proven track record delivering strong and consistent sales results while consistently exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage and meet tight deadlines

On-Air Talent

WTTS in Indianapolis has a rare opening for an On-Air talent. We are looking for someone with natural leadership ability who is a student of music and pop culture. The ideal candidate would have extensive on air, digital/social, production and producing experience.

Responsibilities
-Adequately prepares for an air shift with use of creativity, imagination and exercise of independent professional judgment in writing, producing, interviewing, taping or broadcasting of on-air material.
-Ensure logged commercials, promotions and any other programming essential to the station’s operation are aired
-Keeps up to date with relevant material appropriate for the station.
Searches out and shares all possible digital content with Program Director and Digital Coordinator for WTTS’s website and social media.
-Participates in regular listening/air check sessions for critique with the Program Director.
-Participates in required station Programming, Promotions, and Sales staff meetings and events
– Makes regular approved appearances at paid, and non-paid, station events.
-Is an ambassador for radio station when out in public; maintains a positive and approachable attitude when around listeners and clients.
-May work flexible hours, weekends, voice tracking and be on call for possible disasters, breaking news, or acts of nature.
– Establishes relationship with listeners by providing entertainment and/or information of interest consistent with format, genre, and targeted demographic audience.
-Adheres to all guidelines, policies and procedures of the station, the FCC and all other federal, state and local laws, including policies and procedures regarding indecency and obscenity.
Work Experience

5+ years of on-air radio experience preferred.
Audio demo of on-air interviews, commentary, announcements, etc.

WTTS is searching for part-time street team members.  Candidates will assist the Marketing and Promotion staff with sales and programming promotions throughout central and south-central Indiana.  Candidates will also assist in public relations and other special station events. Street team members will be responsible for a variety of on-site needs, as well as executing on-site contests.  This position absolutely requires schedule flexibility: 20 to 25 hours per week, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Street Team positions require the following:

  • Must have a valid Indiana driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Must have good communication skills – interpersonal, phone and writing
  • Must maintain flexible hours (20 to 25 per week), including nights, weekends, and holidays

Promotions and Marketing Interns

WTTS is searching for student interns for the Promotion/Marketing department.  Candidates will assist the Marketing and Promotion staff with sales and programming promotions throughout central and south-central Indiana.  Candidates will also assist in public relations and other special events.  Internships also include office and clerical work, and planning and executing on and off-air contests.  WTTS interns receive a broad experience in radio promotions and marketing.  Internships are partially paid and absolutely require schedule flexibility: 20 to 25 hours per week, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Promotion and Marketing internship positions require the following:

  • MUST be a college student, currently enrolled and eligible to receive course credit for an internship
  • Must have a valid Indiana driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Must have a GPA of “C” or above (internships)
  • Must have good communication skills – phone and writing
  • Must have good office, organization and computer skills
  • Must maintain flexible hours (20 to 25 per week), including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be familiar with the WTTS format
  • Course of study in broadcasting, marketing, or promotions preferred (internships)
