In regard to Tired Pony’s “Dead American Writers,” I am amazed at how a great song can exist yet not be found when searched. I am a professional mathematican and find the commercial approach to search engine algorithms unaacceptable. Occupy Google?

  2. Amy Lou says:

Awesome! Love the passion in Amos’ voice and his range is brillant!

Where is “Beg, Steal, Borrow” by Ray LaMontagne? was it in the wrong year? Thought the other two rated songs “Repo Man” and “Summer” were off the same album?

  4. Brad says:

That song made it on the 2010 list. For this list, we were looking at 2011 airplay from songs that were NOT included on the 2010 list. While “Beg, Steal or Borrow” was played a lot on WTTS in 2011, it had already made a Top 50 list – hence, the absence. Thanks for listening.

  5. Joyce Owens says:

I really think the list is pretty right on for top 50 2011. I am so glad The Head and the Heart’s Lost In My Mind are #4 .The Decemberists’ Down By The Water is also great and deserved being in the top 5. Ray Lamontagne and The Pariah Dog’s God Willin and the Creek Don’t Rise is one of the Best songs ever! Not on this list but my favorite.Amos Lee does have a great voice and Windows are Rolled down is a beautiful song. The music played by 92.3 is the best all the time.Thanks.

Happy New Year to all the TUNE MASTERS @ 92.3! You have been my favorite station since you first went on the air.
    You ROCK!

One female solo artist represented on the list. Two bands (that I know of) with a female singer, one of which is the lead singer.

I would like to hear more new and older female voices on WTTS in 2012, please!

Great year for new music. Glad to see veterans Paul Simon and The Cars crack the TOP 50.
It’s also nice to see the former top songs listings. Is there a place on the website to find all the former TOP 50 rankings?
