Laura Duncan Talks to Robert Plant

4 Comments 25 January 2011

Robert Plant
just announced a bunch of new tour dates including The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. But, he took time out from his busy schedule to catch up with Laura. They talked about the challenge of intercontinental band meetings, quick turn-around recording sessions, and how — in spite of it all — Band of Joy is just that.

Laura has to be in 7th heaven! I caught the first installment this morning – can’t wait to hear the rest!

Great interview! And now another reason to go to Jazzfest in Nawlins this year!

I usually don’t post to boards, but I have to say I was very impressed with the quality of this interview. I’m sure it was nerve racking talking to an idol and musical icon like Robert Plant, and it was clearly done with the utmost professionalism. Not only was it very intelligently delivered, but the always obvious (and often painful) mention of a Zeppelin reunion was smartly avoided. Well done Laura, thanks for representing Indiana well!!

Beautiful interview Laura! Well done!!We’re so jealous and proud of you at the same time! When we saw Robert at the Riviera in Chicago about 10 years ago there were many times during the show when tears of joy poured uncontrollably from Gina’s eyes as she was enveloped in such a state of bliss! And I enjoyed the show too! Picked up “Band of Joy” on the release date and scored tix for the Auditorium Theatre show in Chicago last Friday! Behave yourself in NYC! Glenn Gass for Governor!!
